Chicken Pancakes, Kale Chips, & Raw Sauerkraut Recipes with Cook-Along Video

by

CookAlongBANNERLearn to make these nourishing gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, Paleo, SCD and GAPS-friendly recipes with Julie!

A few years ago, I led a livestream special USAAA Pre-Conference Event with ZenWorks Production – the first Nourishing Hope Live Cook-Along! It was a blast. People even sent in videos and photos of their creations.

The event was recorded so if you missed it, you can download the free recipes and replay the video and cook-along with Julie at your convenience!

All of the recipes are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, Paleo, SCD and GAPS-friendly! They are even low oxalate if you use lacinato (dino) kale and limit the kale chips to 1/2 cup.

Food and nutrition matter for autism, and parents around the world routinely report the benefits of nourishing hope.  In this video, we have fun with cooking and demonstrate that special diets needn’t be difficult – anyone can get started right away!  You can even involve your children!  Many parents wrote to us about how their child had so much fun cooking along.  During the Cook-Along, you’ll see a few appearance by our own Ruby Matthews, age 3 (at the time of filming), for some tasting and… well mostly tasting.  Can you guess which food she went for first, our menu comprised:

  • Chicken Pancakes
  • Kale Chips
  • Raw Sauerkraut

Download the recipes and cook-along as you watch the video.

The “show” begins with an introduction by Dr. Larry Kaplan, Founder of US Autism & Asperger Association, discussing  the (then) upcoming USAAA Conference in Salt Lake City – don’t miss seeing Larry in his apron!  Then there’s a cameo appearance by Dr. Bob Sears (direct from his kitchen), he chats with Julie about the importance of special diets and nutrition for children with autism.  Dr. Bob, we still need that gluten-free chocolate chip cookie recipe!  šŸ˜‰

Please note, the video announces special giveaways from our sponsors for the event Houston Enzymes and Speech Nutrients, free tickets to the (then) upcoming USAAA conference, and free copies of some Nourishing Hope learning tools – however, this special giveaway is over at this time.

  1. Do you know if essential oils have oxalates in them? Which one do if they do have them? Thank you.
