I’m trying to post a question to you Julie and don’t know how to go about going it do I’m trying here. My son shows some signs/symptoms of ADHD but not sure yet. He’s four so still a little early to definitively diagnose. Anyway after hearing your interview on great parenting show I took him off of gluten, soy and dairy. Very hard to tell if there’s a noticeable difference. There’s so many factors that go into his behavior, one being that he is not the best sleeper. Anyway his sleep got better for a while after starting diet which of course improved his behavior and level of “hyperactivity”. Then it got bad again for a few nights and had some bad days. Anyway that was just a little background my question really is about soy. Is it the protein that is the concern or all soy? I used to give him cod liver oil which has vitamin E derived from refined soybean oil. The company (Nordic naturals) assured me that it is ultra refined and does not contain the protein in it and most people with soy allergy have a sensitivity to the protein. Just wondering if it is the same with intolerances/sensitivities and these kids with developmental delays.
Also do you know a different company that makes cod liver oil without any soy? Thanks.
